Last year, the Flyers Alumni sponsored the adoption of a retriever puppy. Via Team Foster, the dog will be trained as a service dog for a military veteran in need. We enlisted our Alumni to nominate a name for the pup, and put it to a vote among Flyers’ fans. The winning name: Stanley.
Stanley just celebrated his first birthday. He’s just about ready to begin his service dog training.
Thanks to the support of our Alumni events from loyal Flyers fans and sponsors, the Alumni were able to cover the $30,000 cost of adoption and specialized training for Stanley. It is YOUR support of our events that make our community initiatives possible.
