Every Child Deserves a Bike: Max

Operated in partnership with Help Hope Live, the Flyers Alumni’s Every Child Deserves a Bike program has helped improved the lives of dozens of local youngsters with special physical challenges since 2019.

On January 23, 2026, we presented a fully customized adaptive bicycle to 13-year-old Maximo “Max” Peng of Glen Mills, PA. Living with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, Max actively participates in therapy and relies on special mobility tools to stay active, including a gait trainer. He’s learning how to drive an electric wheelchair.

Max’s new fully adaptive bike will open a lot of opportunities for him. Living in a bike-friendly neighborhood,he will be able to get fresh air, even more activity, and face-time with his community. He’ll even be able to ride indoors during the winter months.
