2023 Walk/Run/Stroll Canceled

Due to the ongoing hazardous air quality conditions throughout the northeastern part of the Country, and in an abundance of caution, the Flyers Alumni have opted to cancel Sunday’s Walk/Run/Stroll through History event at Washington Crossing Historic Park.

“This is a situation where it’s not wise to take any chances that the current conditions will improve enough to safely and enjoyably stage the event come Sunday,” said Brad Marsh, the Flyers Alumni Association president and the Flyers executive director of community and fan development.

“Some of the registered participants, including some Flyers Alumni, are age 65 or older or otherwise in high-risk groups when exposed to hazardous air quality. It’s unfortunate, as we were all looking forward to the event but we believe it’s the right decision under the circumstances.”

The 2023 Walk/Run/Stroll included both live participation and virtual participation options. All registrants are encouraged to participate virtually on a date and time of their convenience. Participants will still receive the promised event t-shirt and finisher’s medal.

Additionally, if registrants use the “contact us” link on FlyersAlumni.net and submit a photo from your virtual walk/run/stroll, the Alumni will post your photo and a special thank you on our social media outlets on Twitter (@FlyersAlumni) and Facebook (facebook.com/FlyersAlumni).
