Flyers Warriors Hockey

Since 2019, the Flyers Alumni have been year-round sponsors, advocates and coaches for the Flyers Warriors disabled military veteran hockey program affiliated with USA Hockey. On the ice, the Flyers Warriors have won several national Warrior hockey championships and various levels. Off the ice, Warrior hockey has drastically improved the quality of life for its participants. The Flyers Warriors program is widely considered the gold standard: the model others seek to follow.

Team Foster

Flyers Alumni partnered with Team Foster and America’s ServiceDogs to create a life- changing donation for a military veteran in need. Team Foster will help raise a labrador retriever puppy in preparation for advanced service dog training. When ready, the dog will be donated to a recipient in need.

Flyers PowerPlay

In similar fashion to how the Flyers and Flyers Alumni made the Flyers Warriors and officially recognized affiliate of the organization, the Flyers PowerPlay is the organization’s official power wheelchair hockey affiliate. In addition to assisting with funding and advocacy, the Flyers Alumni and PowerPlay participants have formed a close bond off the court.

Flyers Alumni Wellness Initiative

In 2025, the Flyers Alumni launched a Wellness Program devoted to Alumni helping Alumni, offering free medical support, confidential mental-health services, home visits for those unable to travel, and annual scholarships for Alumni families.

Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education

Back in 2016, the Flyers Alumni Association pledged $2 million in direct contributions to Ed Snider Youth Hockey and Education. It’s their way of saying “Thank You” to Mr. Snider for all he has done for the Alumni and the community.

Every Child Deserves a Bike Program

The Flyers Alumni’s Every Child Deserves a Bike initiative provides custom-built adaptive bicycles tailored to each child’s physical needs. Each bike costs upward of $5,000, and the Alumni have already gifted more than 60 of them — offering independence, confidence, and a chance to ride like every child deserves.
