Welcome to the Inaugural Walk • Run • Stroll Event!

The Flyers Alumni Association and The Flyers Warriors are dedicated to giving back to the Delaware Valley
communities through local charitable giving, volunteerism, and community involvement.
It is events like the Walk • Run • Stroll that help us raise funds to maximize our ability to provide
the greatest impact possible to worthy causes and those in need.

The event and the course are unique as participants will travel past the barracks area in which the
Continental Army was housed. The route will then traverse along the path in which
General George Washington, and his troops marched before crossing the
Delaware River into Trenton in Durham boats.

AS ALWAYS, WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

The Flyers Alumni Association would love to team up with you to raise additional funds for The Flyers Warriors and the Alumni Association’s programs that give back to the Delaware Valley community.

It is not mandatory to do supplementary fund-raising in order to participate in the Walk/Run/Stroll. However, as our thank you to those who go above and beyond to help the team, we’re offering some incentives:

THIRD STAR —  Donate $250 and receive a Flyers Alumni Incentive Package which will include a Flyers Alumni Eddie Bauer Cooler, a Flyers Alumni Yeti and a Flyers Alumni Cap.

SECOND STAR —  Donate $500 and receive a pair of New Balance 880 running shoes and the Flyers Alumni Incentive Package.

FIRST STAR —  Donate $1,000 and receive a pair of tickets to the April 29 Flyers vs. Ottawa Senators game at the Wells Fargo Center and an exclusive meet and greet reception in the “not open to the public” Flyers Alumni Lounge which displays over 50 years of Flyers history and memorabilia. The First Star donors will also receive the New Balance running shoes and the Flyers Alumni Incentive Package.

The Flyers Alumni Walk • Run • Stroll is an Extremely Unique Course

We have three different course lengths in which you can participate: a 10k run, a 5k walk/run and a 1k event that we call the “Family Stroll Through History.”

The starting line is located where the troops slept prior to the march to cross the Delaware. The route then passes close to the Washington’s Crossing Memorial and then within a stone’s throw of the Unknown Soldier Memorial and ultimately returns to the starting point of the event.

The Cause

The Flyers Alumni Association is dedicated to giving back to the Delaware Valley community year-round through local charitable giving, volunteerism, and community involvement. We are also dedicated to the service of our Alumni members themselves.

The Flyers Warriors hockey program began in December of 2018. The team consists entirely of military veterans with at least a 10% service connected disability. The Flyers Warriors program provides veterans and their families with a support network and the camaraderie of being part of a team.

The mission of the Walk • Run • Stroll event is to raise funds for The Flyers Warriors, as well as the YMCA of Bucks County’s Veterans Wellness Initiative (VWI).
